Meet Greg: Board of Directors President
Greg Swartz embarked on his agricultural journey, co-founding Willow Wisp Organic Farm.
Since 2000, his commitment to farming has deepened roots in the fertile soils of the Upper Delaware River Valley.
In the formative years of Willow Wisp Organic Farm, Greg balanced his farming duties with a pivotal role as the Executive Director of the Northeast Organic Farming Association of New York (NOFA-NY), advocating for organic farming practices.
However, the call of the land proved irresistible, and he soon returned to full-time farming, a commitment that significantly limited his sleep but exponentially grew his passion and the farm's success.
Under Greg's diligent guidance, the farm's mission flourished, emphasizing the cultivation of high-quality food, nurturing the farm's ecosystem, and bolstering the local economy through job creation.
Greg's vision for Willow Wisp Organic Farm embodies a model of sustainable agriculture that not only feeds but also economically invigorates the Upper Delaware River Valley, positioning farming as a central pillar of regional development.
For a decade, Greg Swartz skillfully helmed the role of Market Manager, steering the Narrowsburg Farmers’ Market towards growth and local engagement.
In 2024, he entrusted this vital role to the capable hands of Danielle and Jennifer, passing on his managerial responsibilities to ensure fresh perspectives and sustained innovation.
Despite stepping back from day-to-day operations, Greg continues to play a pivotal role in shaping the market’s future as the president of the Narrowsburg Farmers’ Market Board of Directors.
He remains deeply involved in this capacity, guiding the board with his extensive experience and unyielding commitment to the community’s economic and cultural prosperity.
Meet Bobby: On-Site Market Coordinator
At the heart of our Saturday market is Bobby Skotch, our on-site coordinator, who brings a vibrant spirit, deep local roots, and a passion for community connection.
Originally from Honesdale, PA, Bobby has been coming to Narrowsburg since childhood and values the market as a space where people can connect more deeply to food, farming, and one another.
For Bobby, the market is more than a place to shop — it’s an opportunity to educate and engage the community around food systems, seasonal eating, and the importance of supporting local farms.
From what’s in season to the stories behind the food, he enjoys being part of the ongoing conversations that make the market feel alive and connected.
Bobby is also part of Willow Wisp Organic Farm, where he helps support sustainable farming and community-centered food education.
His warmth, knowledge, and enthusiasm help create the welcoming energy that makes the market such a special gathering place each week.
Meet Danielle & Jennifer: Market Managers
Danielle and Jennifer are the guiding lights behind the Narrowsburg Farmers' Market, firmly establishing themselves as pillars of the local agricultural and sustainability movement.
Their journey started as leaders of the Sullivan County Farmers’ Markets Association, pivotal from 2012 to 2015, shaping the fabric of the community's engagement with local food systems.
They built upon this foundation with impressive tenures as the Media & Events Coordinators for Barryville Farmers’ Market and then brought their vision into complete focus at the Narrowsburg Market beginning in 2019.
A significant part of their legacy is their venture into the sustainable food business, Natural Contents, which is a testament to their dedication to locally sourced and sustainable foods.
This endeavor and their authorship of “Good Food” for Everyone: Farm Fresh Clean Eating” highlight” their far-reaching influence beyond marketplace management.
Moreover, their collaborative efforts with regional food hubs, most notably through Jennifer's time at the Lackawaxen Food Hub in 2017, have underscored their innovative approach to bolstering local food systems.
In essence, Danielle and Jennifer stand for much more than mere advocacy — they embody a dynamic legacy of community service, leadership, and educational outreach in the sphere of sustainable agriculture.
Danielle is the founder of Superfine Synergy, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit offering trauma-informed, somatic support for women navigating chronic stress and survival patterns. She is a certified JourneyDance® facilitator and trauma-informed practitioner who creates accessible, body-based experiences that support healing, regulation, and reconnection through movement and community.
Jennifer serves as the Real Food Logistics Manager for a Single Bite at the Catskills Food Hub, a non-profit organization focused on educating and feeding children in Sullivan County, NY, with real local food.
Together, they are moms to two adult children (22 and 24), doggie mamas, and proud residents of Narrowsburg.
On Saturdays, you’ll find Danielle and Jennifer at the Market shopping, filling their bags to the brim, and engaging the community in all things farm fresh food.
Stop by and introduce yourself — they would love to meet you!
